Mamas' Chicken Soup is a year old!

Within this past year, a special phrase (and variations thereof) was born as well: "Soup material!" "A soup addition!" says Val. "Definitely a soup addition!", seconds Monica. "Please stick this one in the Chicken Soup", says Nancy."'This should go in the Chicken Soup", says Cindi. Meanwhile, on my end, I'm always ready to hit the "Save As" button, always ready to transport these words into my "temp_next_post" folder.

As the year went by, all of us have stirred this pot in one way or another, throwing in our special ingredients, none of which is secret, mind you. Mamas' Chicken Soup has evolved deliciously and beautifully --in content and website design-- within its first year into something beyond my initial vision, thanks in part to your wonderful insights and suggestions for improvement. SPECIAL THANKS to Cindy for helping make this vision a reality. And to Reade as well for all his expertise, constructive suggestions and help. Without you both, Chicken Soup would have just remained a nugget of a dream tossing aimlessly in my brain...and what a nagging annoyance that could have been! So, my personal thanks for sparing me a bunch of sleepless nights.

2004 is not yet over and our number is still going to grow. After this is posted, two more babies are going to bless our world. Chad will be a fully-minted Survivor celebrity. Hopefully, there will be no more
trips to the ER to report but just a whole lot of baby-oooogling and holiday feasting. And we are still going to be here for each other, through the many high's and low's and everything else in-between...in 2005, 2006...That thought warms my Chicken Soup, and hopefully, yours as well.
